Teaching the Language of the Qur'an
LCAQ — Learn Classical Arabic for the Qur'an — is a structured trainer programme designed to equip educators with the tools to bring Qur'anic Arabic to their communities.
Our Mission
We believe every Muslim deserves the opportunity to understand the Qur'an in its original language. LCAQ exists to train a generation of community educators who can open that door for others — in homes, mosques, schools, and community centres.
Our curriculum is built on classical Arabic grammar, presented in a clear, accessible sequence that works for adult learners with no prior Arabic background. Trainers complete Module 1 and are equipped to teach it immediately.
Curriculum Philosophy
Classical Foundations
Rooted in the traditional Arabic grammatical sciences — nahw and sarf — adapted for modern learners.
Trainer-Led Model
We train trainers, not just students. Every LCAQ graduate becomes a multiplier in their community.
Modular Progression
Each module builds on the last, giving students a clear path from foundational vocabulary to Qur'anic comprehension.
Qur'an-Centred
Every lesson is anchored in Qur'anic text. Students see the relevance of every grammar rule immediately.
Module Roadmap
A structured journey from foundational Arabic to Qur'anic comprehension.
Foundations of Classical Arabic
Arabic script, short vowels, basic noun and verb morphology, and the first 50 Qur'anic vocabulary words. Includes trainer guide and student workbook.
Sentence Structure & Verb Patterns
Nominal and verbal sentences, the ten verb forms, and expanded Qur'anic vocabulary. Building on Module 1 foundations.
Particles, Pronouns & Comprehension
Prepositions, pronouns, relative clauses, and guided reading of selected Qur'anic passages with full grammatical analysis.
